Hop Ups

Hop Ups & Work Platforms

Hop ups are low-level folding work platforms for jobs that are just out of reach, such as decorating, plastering, fitting lights or working on ceilings. Our range covers aluminium and fibreglass hop ups for home and trade use, from compact single platforms to long, height-adjustable models.

Aluminium Hop Ups

• Aluminium Hop Up 300 x 600 and 600 x 600 - rigid grooved platforms at 0.47m high, dual locks on the legs and a 150kg max working load.
• Werner Professional Work Platform (79025) - a long 1.15m x 0.3m platform at 0.51m high that folds flat to 8cm deep, with an Easy-Grab carry handle.
• Werner Adjustable PRO Work Platform (79023) - 10 height positions from 0.51m to 0.76m with independently adjustable legs for stairs and uneven floors, a 1,160mm x 350mm standing surface and a 136kg safe working load.

Hopstar Industrial Platforms

The Hopstar Classic and Hopstar Mini are fold-flat industrial platforms with a 175kg maximum load, built from materials conforming to BS2037:1994 Class 1, with an optional handrail. The Classic has a large 600mm square non-slip platform, while the Mini is a compact version with a 400mm x 360mm platform and a fitted carry handle.

Fibreglass Hop Ups

Our Fibreglass 600 x 600 Hop Up is suitable for working around electricity and resists weathering, corrosion and rust. It has an extra-large 600mm x 600mm platform at 0.50m high, a splayed base and locking hinges, and comes with a 10-year warranty.

Choosing the Right Hop Up

• Height - most of our platforms stand between 0.47m and 0.51m, and the Werner Adjustable PRO goes up to 0.76m.
• Platform size - square 600 x 600 platforms give you room to move, while long platforms let you work along a wall or ceiling without stepping down.
• Load - make sure the rating covers you plus your tools and materials. Ratings in our range run from 136kg to 175kg.
• Material - choose fibreglass if you'll be working around electricity.
